| Puritans
first came to Boston in 1630. Fourteen years later, they set aside
the first public park in the U.S., the Boston Commons. The following
year, 1635, they opened the first free public school in America. Today,
the Boston area is home to 68 colleges and universities. Better known
to the locals as Beantown, the Harborville, or BC. Home of the Celtics,
the Sox, and world famous clam chowder. |
